All residents of Jefferson County are eligible to receive a library card. Visitors may be issued a library card with limited privileges if they are temporarily residing in Jefferson County. Through a consortium agreement, Jefferson County Library cardholders have access to materials from the Jefferson County Library, the Port Townsend Public Library, the H. W. McCurdy Library at the Northwest Maritime Center, and the Port Townsend, Quilcene, and Brinnon School libraries.

As a TEAM we will communicate with transparency and respect.

If you are 18 years of age or older:

You may apply for a library card online. After your application is received, you will be issued a temporary number that will allow you to place holds on items. Please bring a photo ID with your current address on it when you come to pick up your card. If your photo ID does not have your current address, please also provide a document with your current address (e.g., rental agreement, utility bill, piece of mail, etc.).

Residents under 18 years of age:

You must have a parent/guardian’s signature on their library card application. The application can be filled out online with a digital signature or printed, signed, and mailed/emailed to one of the addresses below.

Parents/guardians will need to present a photo ID with their current address to pick up the card. If the photo ID does not have your current address, please also provide a document with your current address (e.g., rental agreement, utility bill, piece of mail, etc.).
