All residents of Jefferson County are eligible to receive a library card. Visitors may be issued a library card with limited privileges if they are temporarily residing in Jefferson County. Through a consortium agreement, Jefferson County Library cardholders have access to materials from the Jefferson County Library, the Port Townsend Public Library, the H. W. McCurdy Library at the Northwest Maritime Center, and the Port Townsend, Quilcene, and Brinnon School libraries.

While library hours and services have been modified to meet pandemic response requirements, you can still get a library card in one of the following ways:

IF YOU ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, you may apply for a library card online. After your application is received, you will be issued a temporary number that will allow you to access many of the library’s online resources and place holds on items. Library staff will notify you when your physical library card is ready to be picked up. Please bring a photo ID with your current address on it when you come to pick up your card. If your photo ID does not have your current address, please also provide a document with your current address (e.g., rental agreement, utility bill, piece of mail, etc.).
