A library card gives you access to books, movies, audiobooks, online materials, and so much more!
All residents of Jefferson County are eligible to receive a library card. Visitors may be issued a library card with limited privileges if they are temporarily residing in Jefferson County. Through a consortium agreement, Library District cardholders have access to materials from the Jefferson County Library District, the Port Townsend Public Library, the H. W. McCurdy Library at the Northwest Maritime Center, and the Chimacum, Port Townsend, Quilcene, and Brinnon School libraries.
If you are 18 years of age or older:
You may apply for a library card online. Once we receive your application, you will be issued a temporary card number that you can use to place holds on items. Please bring a photo ID with your current address when you pick up your card. If your photo ID does not have your current address, please also provide a document with your current address (e.g., rental agreement, utility bill, piece of mail, etc.).
Residents under 18 years of age:
You must have a parent/guardian’s signature on their library card application. The application can be filled out online with a digital signature or printed, signed, and mailed/emailed to one of the addresses below.
Parents/guardians must present a photo ID with their current address when picking up the card. If the photo ID does not have your current address, please also provide a document with your current address (e.g., rental agreement, utility bill, piece of mail, etc.).
