Michael Kubec

Michael and her husband retired to Jefferson County in 2006 after moving from Boulder, Colorado. As a Certified Financial Planner, Michael owned a financial planning and tax prep business for over 20 years. In Boulder, she was both a board member and officer with The Frasier Meadows Retirement Community, the Colorado Episcopal Foundation, St. John’s Episcopal Church, and The Guardian Ad Litem Program, which she helped found.

In 2009, Michael and three others founded The Hospice Foundation for Jefferson Healthcare, a non-profit dedicated to raising funds to provide end-of-life services to county residents. As a member of the Port Townsend Branch of AAUW, she was both V.P. of Membership and President. She also served as President of the University Women’s Foundation.

Michael loves to spend time with her family. She reads extensively, plays pickleball, golfs, hikes, participates in two book clubs, plays bridge, and enjoys her Portuguese Water Dog. She has been a member of the JCL board since 2016.
