Discover Exoplanets: The Search for Alien Earths

The Jefferson County Library is excited to join the WSU Extension in hosting this free exhibit that explores the fascinating world of space and astronomy. Discover the universe in seven interactive kiosks (four at the library, three at the WSU Extension classroom), highlighting the tools, techniques, and science used to explore space. All ages are welcome to experience this hands-on science exhibit, similar to what you’d find at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle.

Kaleidoscope Play and Learn Group

Kaleidoscope Play & Learn groups are for children ages birth to 5 and their families or caregivers. Come play, read, sing, enjoy snacks and enhance the bond with your family and community. Sessions are free and open to everyone.

This playgroup is provided by a partnership between Jefferson County Library, First Step Family Support Center and the Olympic-Kitsap Peninsula Early Learning Coalition, and through a grant from the Satterberg Foundation. Contact Darcy at 360-774-3413 for more information.

Toddler Storytime for Ages 12 Months to 30 Months

Toddler Storytime is for children ages 12 months to 30 months and features movement, music, puppets, and fingerplays as well as flannel stories and the reading of short books written with toddlers in mind.

Babytime for Ages Birth to 12 Months

October 22, 2019

This 20-minute lapsit program for infants from birth to 12 months features action rhymes, baby sign language, songs, and movement designed to stimulate brain development and the enjoyment of music, language, and books.

Tech Tuesday: Drop-in Tech Assistance

Drop in and work with library staff to receive individual assistance with your computer or handheld device. Bring your own device or ask to borrow one of ours.

Preschool Storytime for Ages 30 months – 5 years

Bring your preschooler and enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, and more designed to promote early learning. Preschool Storytime is followed by a craft or activity that encourages networking and enriches literacy.
