Toddler Storytime for Ages 12 Months to 30 Months

Toddler Storytime is for children ages 12 months to 30 months and features movement, music, puppets, and fingerplays as well as flannel stories and the reading of short books written with toddlers in mind.

WSU Seed Library Visits the Bookmobile

August 26, 2019

The WSU Master Gardeners will visit the Bookmobile monthly through October with their Seed Library. Join the effort to build our community’s food resilience.

1) Borrow seeds from the Seed Library

2) Grow beautiful, healthy plants and harvest healthy food for your family.

3) Return a portion of your saved seeds to the Seed Library for the next years’ borrowers.

Babytime for Ages Birth to 12 Months

This 20-minute lapsit program for infants from birth to 12 months features action rhymes, baby sign language, songs, and movement designed to stimulate brain development and the enjoyment of music, language, and books.

Tech Tuesday: Drop-in Tech Assistance

August 27, 2019

Drop in and work with library staff to receive individual assistance with your computer or handheld device. Bring your own device or ask to borrow one of ours.

Virtual Reality Open House for Adults

August 27, 2019

Experience Virtual Reality with the Oculus device while guided and supported by trained staff. Swim in the deep sea, make friends with a little robot, visit the White House or a National Park, or relax with a virtual movie that happens around you. All these experiences can be yours through the magic of virtual reality.

A completed waiver form is required to participate. VR experiences may cause dizziness and disorientation. Those prone to motion sickness should take care when using the Oculus device.

Kaleidoscope Play and Learn Group

August 30, 2019

Kaleidoscope Play & Learn groups are for children ages birth to 5 and their families or caregivers. Come play, read, sing, enjoy snacks and enhance the bond with your family and community. Sessions are free and open to everyone.

This playgroup is provided by a partnership between Jefferson County Library, First Step Family Support Center and the Olympic-Kitsap Peninsula Early Learning Coalition, and through a grant from the Satterberg Foundation. Contact Darcy at 360-774-3413 for more information.
