LIVE ONLINE: Writing about Your Pandemic Experiences
Chronicle your thoughts and experiences while living through the coronavirus pandemic. Discover simple pointers for developing your writing skills, as you explore the difficulties and blessings you are facing during these extraordinary times. Join author Savitri Bess for this four-week online workshop, and learn to use the five senses to help you express yourself in rich, full ways. Share some of your writings with fellow class members during each session, and be sure to keep a pen and paper nearby for note-taking and spontaneous writing moments. Online registration is required. A zoom link will be sent to all class registrants before the first class starts.
Savitri Bess, MFA in fiber arts, MEd in counseling psychology, has been the recipient of Fulbright and National Endowment for the Arts grants. She is author of The Path of the Mother, and two autobiographical fiction works, Offer Me a Flower and The Sophia Secrets. LIVE ONLINE: Friday Night Trivia
Join us live online for a fun and friendly game of trivia. Questions will feature topics such as pop culture, books, movies, and music! Players will compete individually, but may seek help from anyone in their household. Winners get bragging rights and the pride of knowing they are well informed. Board of Trustees Regular Meeting
The Jefferson County Library Board of Trustees meets on the second Wednesday of each month unless otherwise noted. All board meetings are open to the public.
The meeting will take place online via Zoom. A link will be posted on Wednesday morning at 9:30 am on this page. The meeting begins at 10:00 am.
Members of the public are welcome to attend. Public comment may be made by sending an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org prior to 9:30 am on 8/11/2020. Comments will be read aloud during the “Public Comment” section of the Board Meeting.

Tech Tuesday Class: Your Library Online
Improve your online library experience! Learn catalog basics, including how to place holds and manage your requests, how to create lists, and how to save your searches. Then discover how you can read your favorite magazines with Flipster, watch streaming movies with Kanopy, and access ebooks and audiobooks through the Washington Anytime Library.
All are welcome at our online monthly book discussion. Discussions are held the second Thursday of each month from 6:15 – 7:45 pm.
