Great Decisions 2019: Nuclear Negotiations – Back to the Future?
April 11 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Great Decisions, produced by the Foreign Policy Association (FPA), is America’s largest civic discussion program on world affairs. Lectures will run weekly each Thursday from March 28 – May 16. Each discussion will cover a topic of great importance to Americans, a short video will be shown, and discussion of American policy will be facilitated. Attend the entire series of lectures or one lecture; no previous registration is required, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The program series is co-sponsored by Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship’s Adult Learning Program.
This week we’ll discuss nuclear weapons, and the Trump administration’s new urgency, if not a new approach, to dealing with them. To what degree should past nuclear talks guide future U.S. nuclear arms control negotiations? Can the art of the deal apply to stabilizing our nuclear future?
